Vomiting or Nausea
Occasional vomiting can be harmless. But repeated vomiting, dry heaving, or vomiting blood is a red flag. If your dog is drooling excessively, pacing, or has a bloated belly, it could indicate gastric torsion (bloat) - a true emergency. Seek immediate help.

Difficulty Breathing
Laboured or noisy breathing, wheezing, or open-mouth breathing (other than regular panting) is always serious. If your dog has blue or pale gums or is using both chest and belly to breathe, rush them to a vet.

Bleeding or Blood in Vomit, Urine, or Stool
Small cuts may not require urgent care, but heavy bleeding, deep wounds, or signs of internal bleeding (like blood in vomit or stools) require swift veterinary intervention.

If your dog suddenly limps, drags legs, or can’t walk - especially the hind legs - get immediate help. Breeds like Dachshunds and Corgis are prone to spinal issues requiring urgent care.

Drinking more water than usual or symptoms like dry gums, sunken eyes, or dark urine may signal kidney disease, diabetes, or hormonal imbalances. Monitor water intake and consult a vet.

Trouble Urinating or Defecating
Straining without producing urine or feces is a medical emergency, especially in male dogs. Urinary blockages can lead to bladder rupture, while constipation beyond 48 hours also needs attention.

Collapse or Loss of Consciousness
If your dog faints, collapses, or has a seizure, stay calm and get help immediately. Causes range from trauma to heart issues or neurological problems. Transport them gently to the vet.
